Quantum Success: 7 Essential Laws for a Thriving, Joyful, and Prosperous Relationship with Work and Money by Christy Whitman

Money has us think in shortsighted ways, and often it's not until we reach a point of complete dissatisfaction -- as I did -- within this one-dimensional approach that we become willing to look for the bigger reason we are here, for the bigger contribution we are here to make.

When you discover how to utilize your unique talents in the service of others, a thriving career and a rich, abundant life are the natural by-products.

The nonphysical forces -- such as polarity, clarity, alignment, resonance, momentum, and magnetism -- that coalesce and join together to create and organize everything we experience in our physical manifested world.

You were born with great purpose, and when you allow yourself to align with -- rather than resist, contradict, or deny -- that purpose, you thrive in every possible way.  Quantum success is the natural consequence of this alignment.

This is a participatory universe, and they way you choose to participate in it determines the reality that unfolds in your experience.

You can actually align in thought, emotion, and energy with the desired outcome, and that energy will draw you to the actions that will support its unfolding.

As you give up the outworn mind-sets of separation, lack, scarcity, and competition and make way for a broader reality to emerge, your pain-body begins to loosen its grip and you become more and more aware of the presence of the subtler dimensions from which everything arises.

Anytime we look outside ourselves for an experience that can only be generated from within -- such as approval, recognition, acceptance, or love -- we are coming from a mind-set of lack.

As you examine your current situation, be open to discovering all the ways you are actually in alignment with the emotions of lack or longing or discontent in the area of your career or finances, and then allow yourself to put a name to that channel in order to distinguish it as something separate from yourself.  Are you tuned to the Struggle channel?  The Frustration channel? The Overwhelmed channel?  What is the emotional or energetic essence of the channel you're tuned to currently?

To uncover the deeper feelings that are driving your desire to create quantum success in your career, you need only ask yourself, "Why do I want this?" and "What is the feeling I believe I will experience in the having of it?".

No matter what you want to create in the outer world, what you are really seeking is the feeling of this internal essence.  Learning to attune yourself -- in thought, emotion, and energy -- with the essence of what you want to manifest, white it is still in its unmanifested form, is the key to attracting it, in living color, into your "real" life.

Consider that the status quo you are living now -- especially in the arena of your career -- is functioning exactly like a gravitational force that is made up of all of the experiences, conclusions, and stories you have come to believe and expect.

You will have to learn to give more attention -- and therefore more credence -- to the reality you desire to create in the future than to the reality you are presently living.

In every moment -- by virtue of the thoughts you think, the perspectives you hold, and the mood or feeling state you bring to each action you take -- you are nourishing into existence one of two future realities.  You are either creating the future experience of your ideal career, or you are creating the continuation of your current experience.

If you keep telling the story of the past -- particularly if it's a past that wasn't satisfying to you -- you will perpetuate those same experiences and feelings.  To create a future unlike anything you have previously known, you have to break free of the gravity of the past, generate a new momentum, and tell a new story.

Our life stories are constructed at an unconscious level and are made up of the sum total of all of the experiences we've lived -- the pleasurable as well as the painful -- and the interpretations and beliefs about ourselves that we came to as a result.

It's important to keep in mind that anytime you set an intention to create something more in your life, whatever is standing in the way of you having it will naturally come to the surface.

Anytime a lack-based emotion such as fear or insecurity surfaces, you can be certain that it is connected to a belief in limitation that you've bought into about yourself.

Energy is both the basis of and the precursor to everything that eventually manifests.

By becoming more allowing, we become more receptive to the replenishing energies of relaxation, surrender, and peace.

"Shoulds" for me are an indication that we are holding on to lack and limitation.  When we "should" on ourselves, we limit our options, and we are deciding something based on someone else's idea of what our lives are supposed to be.

There is no "is" in what currently is. All things are in a process of becoming, and what they become depends in large part on the way we choose, in every moment, to look at them.

How you are feeling in any given moment has everything to do with the way you will perceive your environment and all who are in it.

The discovery of your ideal career begins when an opportunity in the outer world speaks directly and powerfully to the questions and longings that have been stirring in your innermost self.

Anytime something is drawn into your experience that opposes the experience you desire, you have a fundamental choice to make:  you can focus on and complain about all that appears to be falling apart, or you can use that contrast to clarify exactly what you want to rebuild in its place.

The degree of sensitivity I am inviting you to develop is one in which you ask yourself, before uttering any word or even making a simple gesture, "In which direction is this action leading me, and do I really want to arrive at that destination?"

"People who live average lives look at their current situations, knowledge, skills, abilities, resources, money, friends, et cetera, and then choose the goals that they think they could achieve with those resources, and this is backwards." John Assaraf

This contrast between the reality we want to live and the reality we are currently living is an essential part of the creative process.

Whether it shows up as something mildly irritating or majorly troubling, and whether we experience it as the absence of something unwanted, contrast serves a very specific purpose.  It draws our attention to a discord that exists between our inner desire and our outer reality, and this discord creates a point of tension that we register in our bodies and minds as a feeling of discontent, disappointment, impatience, and a lot of other emotions we label as negative.  But it's from this very point of tension that an intention is born, and with a clarity that can only arise from raw, unfiltered feeling, a powerful signal is transmitted instantaneously through every fiber of our being:  I want something different.
